1995, Allen Sides and Gary Bel, set their eyes on a beautiful Gothic Revival stone church. The place hadn’t served as a place of worship for decades. Nevertheless, it boasted a rich history and the two sought to continue its legacy. And with that, Ocean Way Recording Studios was born. Situated at the heart of Nashville’s famed Music Row, Ocean Way Nashville is one of the finest recording studios in the world. Generations of music icons, from Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra, to more contemporary artists such as Taylor Swift and Green Day have all recorded here. The studio has also become a favorite destination for orchestral projects, recording strings as well as film and television scoring.

So, what is behind Ocean Way’s massive success? It’s simple really – the founders spared no expense in the pursuit of creating perfect-sounding recording rooms. Belmont University, which took ownership of the studios in 2001, would continue their effort by constantly modernizing it. Ocean Way recording studios provide exceptional acoustical spaces, customized equipment, impeccable electronic maintenance and much more. In addition, the owners partnered with the school’s College of Entertainment and Music Business to offer hand-on training to aspiring artists.
